Leader: What is prayer?
People: Prayer is turning my heart toward God, to listen and to speak with Him.
Leader: Why should we pray?
People: We should pray because God calls us to do so, because we were made for fellowship with Him, because we need the help of His Holy Spirit, and because He has promised to answer the prayers of His people.
Leader: What should we seek in prayer?
People: In prayer, we should seek not only God’s provision for our needs, but fellowship with God, who made us for fellowship with Himself.
