As a body of Believers we are called to serve and put into action the gifts we’ve received from God. Serving is a privilege and should be offered not out of duty, but out of love and delight as an act of worship to the glory of God. (Romans 12:1)
We recognize that God has gifted each of us in different ways so we encourage you to review the various opportunities below and invest in our church community where God leads you. Know that your participation as a volunteer is vital to supporting key areas of our ministry on an ongoing basis, including making our Sunday worship services possible.
Thank you for your willingness to serve at The Village Chapel. Review the descriptions below and then fill out our Serve at TVC form, letting us know your areas of interest. You’ll then be contacted by the appropriate ministry director. If you have any questions, please email email@example.com.
These volunteers assist our staff in providing hospitality to all who attend both in person and online. They also help to make our worship services run smoothly by answering questions about our church, helping people find seats, attending the coffee station, and directing traffic. This once a month opportunity serves to set a warm and welcoming tone for congregants as they come to worship the Lord!
ALL-CHURCH EVENTS TEAM
The All-Church Events Team is a group of congregants who participate in serving our church at all-church events (Chili Cook-Off, Fall Fest, Christmas Market, etc). These dedicated folks help with set up, clean up, directing traffic, and greeting. As the event draws near, our team signs up for needs specific to the event as their schedule allows.
Our Care Ministry exists to meet practical and spiritual needs within our congregation through serving, praying, and resource connection. Our Meals Team shows the love of Christ through hospitality by preparing and delivering meals to those who are ill, grieving, or welcoming new babies into their families. Our Prayer Team intercedes for the needs of the church throughout the week and prays in-person with congregants on Sunday mornings. Our Mercy Team visits and ministers to those who are hospitalized, convalescent, or shut-in, and assists with funerals and memorial services. Our staff Care Team connects congregants to needed counseling and support resources within the community based on individual assessment.
TVC KIDS (Nursery/Preschool/K-5)
We would love to have you volunteer ONE Service on ONE Sunday per month in our fun children’s ministry, TVC Kids, which includes Nursery through fifth grade! We need 24 volunteers every Sunday to assist our teachers at our two services in Hillsboro Village.
Because the vaccine is not currently available for children under the age of 12, TVC Children’s Ministry will be requiring all teachers and volunteers to wear masks in order to provide a safe and healthy environment. Masks will be encouraged for children, but will be optional and at the discretion of each parent.
TVC YOUTH (6th – 12th Grades)
We encourage all TVC attendees to put feet to their faith and get involved beyond just attending services on Sunday mornings. There are a variety of ways you can serve. At the moment, we have a need for volunteer Youth Leaders for Middle and High School girls small groups.
Our A/V Team handles all the sound and video production for our worship services and special events. Typically, a sound engineer and two visual media techs are scheduled for our weekly services. If you are interested in serving on our TVC Audio Visual team, please click here.
Our worship team is a growing community of Christ-followers who use our musical and technical skills to serve in our mission to engage the church in God-directed, Christ-centered, congregationally accessible worship. Areas of serving include musicians and vocalists (we also have a choir that rehearses and performs seasonally). Keep in mind that we do require a high level of skill and experience.
