New Here? Welcome!

We are located in the historic St. Bernard building just south of Hillsboro Village behind St. Bernard Park. Don’t be fooled by that 21st Avenue South address. Our building is actually set back between Friedman’s Army-Navy Surplus and Century Hillsboro Village apartments, on the corner of Bernard Avenue and Convent Place. Find more information about TVC here: https://thevillagechapel.com/newtotvc/

For the Kids

We offer TVC Kids (by RSVP) for nursery, toddlers, preschool and K-5 during each of our morning worship services. We also offer TVC Youth Sunday School for ages 6th, 7th & 8th grade that meets at 11am in The Basement.

On Sundays, help yourself to any open space in the upper or lower lots surrounding the St. Bernard building. You can also park behind the building, adjacent to St. Bernard Academy. If these areas are full, there are spaces in the lot at Friedman’s or along Bernard Avenue.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What time are the services?

We have begun offering two in-person Sunday worship services at 9 am & 11 am along with our online services. Seating is on a first come-first served basis, so please plan to arrive early.

Do I need to sign up to attend a worship service?

We no longer require reservations each week for the worship services in the Chapel, but still require that you make a reservation each week for Children’s Ministry (use link to sign-up form here).

How many people can attend each service?

We are back to a maximum capacity in our Chapel of approximately 330 people per service.  However, if you feel more comfortable with some spacing between you and other congregants, we will provide a paper marker to put down on the chairs next to you to keep those seats open.

Are multiple locations opening?

We are offering two in-person services at both 9 am and 11 am at 2021 21st Ave. S.
Please see this update about East Nashville.

If I am unable to attend in-person, will I still be able to worship online?

Yes, you are always welcome to worship with us online and have the option of gathering with us at 10 am each Sunday morning, or watching anytime on demand. Visit https://thevillagechapel.com/online for more details.

Will I need to wear a mask?

At this time we have updated our policy to masks being optional.  However, we are providing the Family Room as a mask friendly, socially distanced space where you can watch the worship service. Also, because the vaccine is not currently available for children under the age of 12, TVC Children’s Ministry will be requiring all teachers and volunteers to wear masks in order to provide a safe and healthy environment. Masks will be encouraged for children, but will be optional and at the discretion of each parent.

Will there be nursery/preschool/TVC kids for my children? If not, are children allowed in the worship service?

TVC Kids provides a place for your children, our next generation, to grow into young worshippers! Our Nursery, Preschool & K-5 classes partner with parents to serve & hope to find each child feeling loved by our staff, challenged by our teaching & growing in faith & community.

Reservations are required each week at kids.thevillagechapel.com
