Call To Worship: Now and Forevermore

The love of God has been poured into our hearts
through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
We dwell in Him and He in us.

Give thanks to the Lord and call upon His name!
Make known His deeds among the peoples.
We will sing to Him, sing praises to Him,
and speak of all His marvelous works.

All praise to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit;
to whom all honor and glory be now and forevermore.
Amen!

Classic Prayer: Thomas a Kempis

Write your blessed name, O Lord, upon my heart, there to remain so indelibly engraved, that no prosperity, no adversity shall ever move me from your love. Be to me a strong tower of defense, a comforter in tribulation, a deliverer in distress, a very present help in trouble, and a guide to heaven through the many temptations and dangers of this life. Amen.

Creed: What is the Gospel?

Leader:  What is the human condition?
People:  Though created good and made for fellowship with our Creator, humanity has been cut off from God by self-centered rebellion against Him, leading to lawless living, guilt, shame, death, and the fear of judgment. This is the state of sin.

Leader:  What is the Gospel?
People:  The Gospel is the good news that God loves the world and offers salvation from sin through his Son, Jesus Christ.

Leader:  What does God desire to accomplish in your life in Christ?
People:  God desires to free me from captivity to sin and transform me into the image of Jesus Christ, by the power of his Holy Spirit.
