Mark 10:46-52

Welcome to Timeless Truth with Pastor Jim Thomas. In season 2, Pastor Jim is leading us in a study of Mark. Today’s passage is Mark 10:46-52

“Men can always be blind to a thing so long as it is big enough.”
G. K. Chesterton

“Go to him he will not cast you away, he has never cast out one yet who did venture upon his power and goodness.”
CH Spurgeon, The Blind Beggar

The NT Gospel of Jesus Christ opens our spiritual eyes…

  1. To the reasons we can be grateful as we look back and thank God.
  2. To the reasons we can be hopeful as we look forward and trust God.
  3. To the reasons we can be confident as we look up and seek the Lord.
  4. To the sense of purpose we can have in Christ as we look for ways to serve God.

“We receive enlightenment only in proportion as we give ourselves more and more completely to God by humble submission and love. We do not first see, then act: we act, then see….. And that is why the man who waits to see clearly, before he will believe, never starts on the journey.”
Thomas Merton
