When difficult and dark seasons happen in our lives, it’s as important as ever to be surrounded by fellow believers to walk alongside in the valleys. Our new “Out of the Darkness, Into the Light” Sunday School class is a six-week intensive study intended for believers who are going through a season of disconnectedness from God, struggling in their faith or wrestling with depression and anxiety. This class begins February 23 at 11:30 am in the Family Room at Hillsboro Village Chapel. Our time together will foster discussion and prayer as a community of fellow sojourners, with the prayer that the Holy Spirit will reveal to us how God accompanies us through the darkness and into His marvelous light. No registration required.
At the Village Chapel, we offer Classes to provide a time and place for studying specific topics. They are seasonal and each runs for a limited time. Check the website for current classes and their start and end dates.
How do we finish our journey in this life in a way that is God-honoring? How do we also responsibly plan for our future to best equip our loved ones? We’ll explore these questions in our popular Aging Matters class as we walk through J.I. Packer’s Finishing Our Course with Joy: Guidance from God for Engaging with Our Aging. Our weekly group discussions will focus on various topics such as biblical principles for estate planning, wills, end-of-life decisions and more. This seven-week class will meet at 9:30 am in the Family Room at our Hillsboro Village Campus beginning on February 15. There is a $10 registration fee to cover the cost of materials. Register below.
As we continue to set goals for the New Year, so many of us desire to evaluate how we honor God with our finances. Financial Peace University is a great resource to learn more about budgeting and financial stewardship through a Christian worldview with the goal of becoming debt-free. This nine-week class will meet on Sundays at 10:15 am in the Meeting Room at our East Nashville Campus beginning February 9.
