Privacy Statement

The Village Chapel is concerned about the privacy of our online users. Therefore, we have implemented a church-wide privacy policy regarding this website. Please read this statement before using this website so you will have a full understanding of how we use the information you provide to us.

Information Collection and Use

The Village Chapel is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. The Village Chapel collects information from our users at several points on our website and through Planning Center, our church management software

Registration

Registration for events and payment for products occurs via Planning Center, our online church management database. When you register, you will be taken away from The Village Chapel website. You may have to submit personal information including, but not limited to, name, date of birth, address, phone number, email, and payment information. By registering for an event, you are giving The Village Chapel permission to contact you related to that event, contact you to promote future events, communicate about general church information, or have a staff member contact you for any reason. You may opt out of receiving emails from The Village Chapel.

For further details related to the Planning Center’s handling of data, see their complete privacy statement here.

Financial Transactions

We request information from a user on our site if the user performs a financial transaction (giving, event registration, etc.). In this case, a user must provide information, including, but not limited to, name, address, and financial information, including credit card or bank account information. The Village Chapel and Planning Center use a third-party intermediary (Stripe) to process transactions. This intermediary is solely a link in the distribution chain and uses the information provided for the sole purpose of processing the transaction.

For further details related to financial data security, see Stripe’s complete policy statement here.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive containing information about the user. This site does not directly use cookies, but third-party tools that get you to this site (Google Analytics, Google Adwords, social media pixels, etc.) will.
