LEADER: Bless the Lord at all times; let His praise continually be in your mouth.

Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my merit, that you have bought me with so dear a price? It is merely your mercy, O Lord. I am not worthy of the least of all your mercies, much less to be a partaker of this holy sacrament, the greatest pledge of the greatest mercy. Oh, what an honor is this, that my Lord himself should thus come to visit me! Yet it has pleased you, in the riches of your grace, for the strengthening of my weakness, to seal your mercy to me by your visible signs, as well as by your visible word. Knock, Lord, by your word and sacraments, at the door of my heart; enter in, and dwell there for ever. For I resign the whole possession of my heart to your sacred Majesty, asking that from now on that you may live in me, speak in me, and walk in me.

O Lord, You have mercy upon all. Take away from us our sins, and mercifully kindle in us the fire of Your Holy Spirit. Take away from us our hearts of stone, and give us hearts of flesh, hearts to love and adore You, hearts to delight in You, to follow and enjoy You, for Christ’s sake. Amen.
