This ancient and beautiful short story reminds us of some hopeful and timeless truths!

  1. The over-ruling providence of a sovereign God, who is always and everywhere at work in His world, to accomplish His purposes, historically, globally, and personally.
  2. People who personalły know God’s redeeming love are the people who can personally show God’s redeeming love.
  3. In Christ, the ultimate kinsman redeemer, God has taken the initiative and done everything necessary to offer us redemption, solely motivated by His covenant love.

“God is always doing 10,000 things in your life, and you may be aware of three of them.”
John Piper

“One of the most important features of faith in God’s providence is that it teaches us that even our accidents are within his care.”
David Atkinson

“No one gives grace better than a person who is deeply persuaded that he needs it himself and receives it from Christ.”
Paul Tripp

“To live in the grace of God means to realize consciously that He is always present and always active in love in the lives of all His people.”
David Jackman
