Dr. Klyne Snodgrass points out that Paul uses 5 participles describing not the requirements for, but the results of being filled with God’s Spirit:
- Speaking
- Singing v19
- Making melody v19
- Giving thanks v20
- Submitting to each other in fear of Christ v21
