Luke 24:1-12

Easter Sunday

While the church building remains closed, God is still in the business of building His church. And God often does things in ways we would never have imagined. From my perspective, God has been turning our isolation into a transformation.

Some have asked “How can you even talk about Easter when everything in the world is turned upside down, inside out, when so many are suffering, even dying, and there is so much fear, anxiety, and despair?”

We say, that’s precisely WHY we need to talk about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are praying God will carry us through survival and to revival. Join Pastor Jim for this hope-filled message from Luke 24.

He Giveth More Grace

by Annie Johnson Flint, 1866-1932

He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength when the labors increase,
To added affliction, He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials, He multiplies peace.

When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half-done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources,
Our Father’s full giving is only begun.

His love has no limit, His grace has no measure,
His power no boundary known unto men,
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,
He giveth and giveth and giveth again.

“In his death he displayed his mercy, in his resurrection his power; both combine to manifest his glory.”
St. Bernard of Clairvaux, On Loving God

“Jesus is the life of the living and will be the resurrection of the dead. For those who live will never die, and those who die will live again.”
John Stott, The Incomparable Christ
