John 2:13-25

Have you ever wondered what makes God mad? In this study from John’s Gospel, Pastor Jim leads us through a passage that is typically entitled “The Cleansing of the Temple.” Jesus was swinging a whip and turning over tables, people were scattering, sheep bleating, goats running, doves flapping their wings to escape, and an avalanche of coins were rolling across the floor. What ever happened to “Gentle Jesus meek and mild look upon this little child?” Exactly what was it that stirred up the anger of Christ? More importantly, what good news does the Christian Gospel have to offer those of us who realize we too are sinners in the hands of an angry God?
