In Acts 18 the apostle Paul moves from the ancient city of Athens to Corinth. If Athens was known for its spiritual idolatry, Corinth was known for its sexual immorality. How did Paul engage with the people and culture of these two cities and what can we learn from him in this regard? In Corinth, Paul will also meet a married couple, Aquila and Priscilla, who will play key roles in the establishment of churches and the training of others in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Join Pastor Jim for this fascinating look at how God continued to move the Gospel further into ancient Europe.

1. The Comfort of God
“His wisdom is our direction, His knowledge our instruction, His power our protection, His justice our surety, His love our comfort, His mercy our solace, and His immutability our trust.”
C. H. Spurgeon

2. The Encouragement of God
“Being a Christian is less about cautiously avoiding sin than about courageously and actively doing God’s will.”
Dietrich Bonhoeffer
3. The Presence of God
“Many Christians estimate difficulties in light of their own resources, and thus attempt little and often fail in the little they attempt. All God’s giants have been weak men who did great things for God because they reckoned on his power and presence being with them.”
Hudson Taylor
4. The Promises of God
“We don’t live on explanations, we live on promises, and the promises of God are based on the character of God.”
