Yuri Pozhidaev

Yuri Pozhidaev is a Russian pastor in Moscow whose passion is to see how the lives of Russian youth change through their relationship with Jesus Christ. Last year, Paradigm, the church he founded, celebrated its 25th anniversary. Yuri also founded the Perspektiva School of Youth Ministry Training in 2002 and, last year, organized missionary trips to Nepal and Kazakhstan for graduates of the school. Yuri himself traveled to Latvia, Poland, Belarus, Germany, France, and Siberia, where he conducted deep conversations with youth ministers and people in need of spiritual and psychological help. He loved seeing their Christ-centered families, where love, peace, and acceptance reigned supreme.

Every week, Yuri holds a house group so that young people can invite their non-believing friends. He also conducts classes with university students in Moscow cafés on building relationships, and once a month, he studies the Bible with non-believers.

Since the military conflict in Ukraine began, Yuri has been holding a nightly prayer meeting through Zoom. He has served in a nursing home and in a mercy home where children with cancer from Donbass are treated.

Yuri loves his family—Natasha, his wife, and Yuri have two sons, Sasha and Pasha. Natasha also takes care of her mother, who has been in a vegetative state for many years.
