The Next Door

The Next Door Recovery is one-of-a-kind in its approach to walking alongside women struggling with substance use. We are one of the only organizations in the southeast providing a full continuum of affordable, gender-specific treatment for women in a faith-based environment that offers priority admission to pregnant women. The Next Door Recovery uses a treatment model that integrates 12-step programming, faith, and evidence-based practices to address the needs of the whole woman – mind, body, and spirit.
TVC has been a ministry partner of TNDR since 2007. Approximately 95% of TNDR’s clients are uninsured or underinsured. To provide a full continuum of quality treatment to ALL clients, TNDR must make up the marginal difference between the payments they receive from insurance and state grants. On average, only 55% of TNDR’s costs are covered through these funds. Over the years, TVC’s involvement has allowed TNDR to serve all clients with the same high-quality care, regardless of their insurance status or resources.
Interested in volunteering? We need activity volunteers to initiate activities with our clients, such as games, puzzles, skincare/makeup/hair tutorials, trivia nights, and arts and crafts. Volunteers are also needed to organize our clothing closet donations, keep our inventory updated, or assist our kitchen staff in serving lunch or dinner to clients. If you have an idea for an event or activity that would be valuable to our women, we’d love to hear about it. Contact our Development and Volunteer Coordinator, Jillian Simon, for more information.
