Cottage Cove Urban Ministries
Cottage Cove Urban Ministries is a faith-based organization that provides educational opportunities, life skills classes, and training in the arts through the power and in the name of Jesus Christ. We have daily programs for at-risk students after school and in the summer at three Nashville locations.
TVC has been a longstanding partner with Cottage Cove, and its involvement has spanned aiding us in purchasing extraordinary or urgent needs, helping us maintain adequate staffing and meet budget expenses, and helping us with many maintenance and improvement projects at our facilities. TVC has provided us with volunteers and a board member over the years.
We can use weekday volunteer help from 2:30-6 pm at any of our three Madison, Glencliff, or Tusculum locations. An hour or two of your time helping with homework, listening to a child read, or supervising an activity makes a lasting difference in the lives of these children and youth. If you have some time in the evenings or on a weekend, we would love some help with ongoing maintenance, including mowing, as keeping our playgrounds well-kept is a big job.
