Cottage Cove Urban Ministries
Cottage Cove Urban Ministries provides educational opportunities, life skills classes, and training in the arts to at-risk children and youth. They offer free daily programs at three sites in Nashville. The Village Chapel has been a valued partner with Cottage Cove for many years. Volunteers on Second Saturdays have helped complete a host of projects enhancing programs or preparing for new programs, plus TVC’s regular financial assistance has enabled Cottage Cove to maintain a quality program and staffing to help the children and families they serve. Their after-school program welcomes volunteers from 3:00 until 5:30 pm every weekday. During the summer volunteer opportunities exist from 8:00 am until 5:30 pm. Come and supervise the playground, listen to a child read, or teach a class (music, coding, chess, and much more). Outside of daytime hours, assistance with yard work and landscaping is greatly appreciated. For more information or to volunteer, email [email protected].
