Joel Anderson is a celebrated graphic designer and illustrator known for his exceptional work in poster art and design. After studying at Ringling School of Art & Design and gaining recognition with several ADDY awards and an Emmy Award during his tenure at Carden & Cherry, he co-founded Anderson Design Group, Inc., working with clients including Universal Studios, DreamWorks, Hasbro, Golden Books, and Harley-Davidson.
Joel’s first poster series, Spirit of Nashville Collection, featured over 150 original posters of Music City icons. In 2015, he launched his most successful project, the 63 Illustrated National Parks series, which now includes over 500 original poster designs, books, calendars, and other gift items. Joel has written and illustrated 9 children’s books, and he has published 8 books related to his travel posters and National Parks artwork. To date, he and his team have published over 3,000 original posters. Despite being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2019, Joel has adapted his creative process, focusing on collaboration and mentorship while finding purpose in glorifying God through his work and encouraging others in their faith journey.
