Join us for our Spring Women’s Studies happening exclusively via Zoom. Finding Shalom: A Staytreat at Home with TVC Women

More than 115 ladies gathered virtually for the 2020 TVC Women’s Staytreat on May 2nd focusing on the subject “Finding Shalom.” It was a deeply meaningful time with our worship led by Kristyn & Keith Getty, wise and scripture steeped talks from our own Curate, Kim Thomas — a three part teaching that focused on The Peace of Christ, The Presence of The Holy Spirit and The Promise of God the Father.

TVC Women Staytreat 2019: A Day of Word, Worship, Witness & Withness

More than 160 ladies gathered at the 2019 TVC Women’s Staytreat on July 27th. We spent the day focusing on how to delight, desire and depend on the Word. Because we place a high value on the study of the Scripture at TVC, the entire day was centered around encouraging and equipping us to be intentional in our daily study of the Word. Women’s Retreat 2018

On April 25-28, 120 women from TVC gathered at Camp Widjiwagan for our annual Women’s retreat. We had a beautiful time of fellowship, small group discussion, worship led by Zach and Maggie White and teaching on the topic of contentment from our own fantastic Kim Thomas. This year, we also had four breakout groups on Saturday morning taught by our small group leaders Bethany Batson, Susan Love, Natalie Walkley and Molly Jones. Our sunny afternoon was spent lounging by the lake, making necklaces, snacking, going on walks, bouncing, zip-lining and napping.

The women also lent their talents to creating pieces of art for two Nashville-based Women’s ministries. Hope Clinic for Women will receive 15 art pieces. Women who receive their services earn points for attending classes and pre-natal visits that they can use in the store to purchase things like onesies, diapers and now art for their nurseries!

An additional 25 art pieces will go to the Freedom Recovery Center of The Next Door for the women who have completed the self-defense classes taught by TVC’s own Josh Johnson. These art pieces will be an encouragement to the ladies to keep working hard, to ignore the lies that run on repeat in their heads and to believe the truths of the Gospel — that they are loved and known and cherished by the God of the universe. It was truly a perfectly full weekend that we will all treasure and draw from for a long time.
