Porter’s Call

Porter’s Call is a place where touring recording artists can find counsel, support, and encouragement specifically attuned to their unique profession. It is a safe and confidential refuge where artists can deal with the issues and stressors they face in their careers and personal lives. And because of continued generous support of partners like The Village Chapel, since its inception in 2001, Porter’s Call has provided more than 70,000 hours of counseling services to thousands of artists at no charge. This year, with the ongoing support of TVC, we have been able to continue offering our services to more than 600+ artists, groups, and their partners who come our way for support, counsel, and encouragement. This summer, we added another full-time porter (Jared Farley) and are seeking to add one more female porter to our team as soon as possible to help meet the continually increasing need. Because of the confidential nature of our work, volunteer opportunities are limited. We do have need for help with general maintenance and landscaping care from time to time. If you would like to make yourself available for volunteer opportunities as they arise, please contact our Office Manager, Audrey Ragan at [email protected] or Director of Development, Phil Shay at [email protected].
