Siloam Health

Siloam Health is a nonprofit healthcare organization that provides whole-person medical care for the underserved, promotes community health among marginalized immigrants and refugees, and offers student education for the next generation of healthcare providers. Siloam’s mission is to share the love of Christ by serving those in need through health care. Their vision is that neighbors from all nations are empowered to lead physically, emotionally, and spiritually healthy lives and to feel at home in our community.

In addition to monetary support, Siloam is grateful for TVC’s direct involvement through three staff members and five faithful volunteers – a physician, a Registered Dietician, a Board member, and two clinic support volunteers – who helped us carry out our mission in 2023.

Siloam’s biggest current need is for more volunteer teams to walk alongside newly arrived refugee families through our Nashville Neighbors program. Small groups of adults or families with children are encouraged to participate together. Siloam will equip each team with basic health topics, as well as a paid interpreter, to teach your new neighbors as they navigate their first six months in the U.S. Visit siloamhealth.org/NashvilleNeighbors to learn more and sign up your team today!

Siloam also depends on faithful individual volunteers to help provide the care needed for patients. They are regularly in need of clinical roles like nurses and specialists and non-licensed roles like Spanish and Arabic interpreters and clinic/patient relations support. Please visit the volunteer page on our website – siloamhealth.org/get-involved/volunteers – or contact Siloam’s Volunteer Coordinator, Philip Gaines, to learn more.
