Begin Anew offers adult education programming at four campus locations: downtown Nashville (since 1997, women only), Madison (2007), Woodbine (2016), and Franklin (2007). All campuses except for the downtown Nashville Campus, serve men and women. Our adult student population is primarily ages 18 and above. They provide opportunities for adult students to earn their High School Equivalency (HSE), improve English through English Language Learning (ELL) classes with three levels (Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced), and/or enhance Computer and Job Skills. Our holistic approach provides participants with mentors/encouragers, instructors, in-person educational classes, Bible study community groups, basis life resource referrals, and a nurturing community. All services are free to enrolled students, and we serve people of all faiths and cultures. TVC’s investment in Begin Anew continues to ensure that the overlooked and underserved are given the opportunity to break life cycles and work toward earning their educational goals. In 2022, they served 330 adult students from 34 countries and 67% of these students continue to make forward progress or graduated in 2022. Begin Anew always needs volunteers to serve as teachers, tutors, encouragers, prayer warriors and childcare providers.
