Men’s Ministry

The Village Chapel’s Men’s Ministry is based on our recognition of the need for mutual encouragement, accountability and transformation through committed relationships. Through annual retreats, special events and weekly small groups, we nurture spiritual, emotional and physical discipline and trust that the Lord will use these interactions to bring about personal growth, depth and maturity in our individual walks with Christ.

TVC Men’s Retreat Info for September 25-26

TVC Men,

We’re excited to be together for these next few days.  For many of us, the whole Covid-19 season has been difficult and isolating on many levels, so the opportunity to be in face to face (or mask to mask) in community with other TVC men of faith is going to be nothing short of awesome!

Below you will find an outline of the essential information you will need to know for the retreat: what to bring, when and where to be, and how to best prepare for our weekend together.

LOGISTICS SUMMARY

In the best interest of everyone’s health and safety, all our sessions will be outside.  We ask that out of care and respect for your fellow TVCer, that everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing while we are together. We all know men don’t need any excuse to build a good fire, so we plan on keeping the firepits burning bright throughout our evening sessions, and for your comfort, you’ll want to have your favorite lawn or camping chair on hand. We’ll have bottled water and assorted pre-packaged snacks available for our evening sessions, and some light prep-packaged breakfast items for the morning session after the hike.

On the TVC Mobile App, you’ll find the retreat schedule, teaching notes, small group questions, and lyrics for our worship songs.  When you open the app just look for “Men’s Retreat 2020” in the events list of the home page.  If you don’t have the TVC Mobile App on your smart phone, visit app.thevillagechapel.com for instructions on how to download.

If you are going to be attending any of the sessions online, we will be streaming the Friday evening session starting at 7pm and the Saturday evening session at 6:30 pm at thevillagechapel.com/online.  Once you navigate to the webpage, select “Gather online with us.” This will also be the same web address to use in the event we have to cancel any of the sessions due to rain. A recorded version of the Saturday morning session will be posted online as well.

Men’s Small Groups

Men of TVC – did you know we have a variety of Men’s Groups that meet throughout the week that you can get plugged into? This is a great way to meet men in different stages of life and study the Word of God as a church community. Each of these groups focuses on a different study with time also spent on prayer and discussion. There are groups that meet at both our Hillsboro Village Campus and our East Nashville Campus as well as in Franklin on various days and times. If you’re looking to grow in your faith and develop deeper relationships, this is the place to start.

Our new TVC Men’s Friday Morning Group will meet at Percy Warner Park at 7 am each Friday.

Email men@thevillagechapel.com with any questions and to learn more.
