When I feel far from the Lord, one of the things that helps me is:
Worship in the community.

Biblical character, story, or passage that has particular meaning/significance:
Mary … both her gracious obedience and her “storing these things in her heart”. She has spoken to me much as I walk through motherhood.

A couple of authors who have had an impact on my spiritual life:
Frederick Buechner, G.K. Chesterton, Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Some people who have inspired my spiritual life over the years:
Mary Jean and Bill Murphy, Bonhoeffer, my Dad.

Something valuable that someone told me early on about walking with the Lord:
Not to be drawn to focusing on what seems like overwhelming attacks of the enemy, but to focus instead in worship on the overwhelming strength and goodness of God.

Something I wish someone had told me sooner about walking with the Lord:
That focusing on the reality of Heaven is not “pie in the sky” or naive…that it changes everything.

I was drawn to serve in the “Let’s Have Coffee Ministry” because:
Hopefully have something to share that might be encouraging. And love coffee.
