Let’s Have Coffee Ministry

“Having thus a fond affection for you, we were well-pleased to impart to you not only the Gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become very dear to us.”
-1 Thessalonians 2:8
Our Let’s Have Coffee ministry offers a low-key opportunity for two women to meet one-on-one to walk through life, one cup of coffee at a time. As the church grows, so does the need to connect on a variety of levels. Home Groups and our midweek Women’s Studies are great for this, but this type of direct connection is important too.
Let’s Have Coffee was set up to pair older women (aka Coffee Hosts) with younger women (aka a Coffee Guests) for the purpose of encouraging and nurturing a daily walk of faith and trust in the living God, in response to His overwhelming initiating love for us. This opportunity is open to any females committed to TVC as their home church.
Specifically, this ministry is all about: Casual relational connection – We intend for this ministry to facilitate the opportunity for community and engagement one on one, without pressure or expectation beyond relational care. Natural discipleship – We believe discipleship can happen most fruitfully in a one to one situation, often occurring out of a trusting, naturally developing relationship. Spiritual encouragement – We pray that this ministry will nurture and encourage growth and faithfulness in our spiritual lives.
It starts with a Coffee Guest reading through the profiles of the available Coffee Hosts by clicking on the links beside the photos below, then prayerfully choosing a woman and sending a request to meet. That’s it. It’s just coffee!
Keep in mind, our Coffee Hosts are not licensed counselors and this isn’t in-depth counseling, but if you’re simply looking for someone of spiritual depth to talk to, this is the place.
