Jan Simenson

I prefer to schedule coffee:
I'm flexible

(Do I have to say?!? Really?)

I have been a Christian for this many years:

Number of years at TVC:

Marital Status:

If married, how many years:

If yes, how many:

Current Occupation:
I work outside the home

If you work from or outside the home, describe your occupation:
I am a copyright administrator for a music publisher here in Nashville.

I have school-aged children:

Two or three words people who know me might use to describe me:
When I asked one of my best friends what to say here, she said: a good listener, kind & definitely goofy.

If I had all day to do whatever I wanted, you might find me...:
Hiding away with a good book and a cup of tea - and then maybe writing or painting. Oh, and in a perfect world, my house would be clean.

Favorite place to eat out:
Savannah Tea Company for lunch and Marche for breakfast or dinner

Favorite meal to cook for company:
Comfort food – meat loaf or maybe pot roast chicken with salad.

Best nickname I've had:

Worst nickname I've had:
Snaylor (my maiden name was Naylor)

Describe your overall temperament:
I have lived long enough to have many valuable life experiences but have a young attitude and a heart for what younger women are dealing with in today's world.

I was raised:
in the church

When I feel far from the Lord, one of the things that helps me is:
Digging deeply into Scripture!

Biblical character, story, or passage that has particular meaning/significance:

A couple of authors who have had an impact on my spiritual life:
Billy Graham and Corrie Ten Boom‚ and I really have to add CS Lewis.

Some people who have inspired my spiritual life over the years:
My mother who prayed for me and with me - and my husband, who challenges and cheers me on daily to become more like Jesus.

Something valuable that someone told me early on about walking with the Lord:
Don't trust what the world tells you to believe‚ measure everything by God's Word.

Something I wish someone had told me sooner about walking with the Lord:
The Lord loves me unconditionally.

I was drawn to serve in the “Let’s Have Coffee Ministry” because:
My mother passed away when I was in my twenties and the Lord blessed me with wonderful women who mentored and listened and encouraged me in my walk through life and most importantly, with the Lord. I am so happy to have the chance to give something back.
