I was raised:
I have been attending church for as long as I can remember – growing up in the Church of God denomination, Baptist  and then non-denomination churches.

When I feel far from the Lord, one of the things that helps me is:
Reading through the Psalms or listening to Praise & Worship music

Biblical character, story, or passage that has particular meaning/significance:
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart I have overcome the world.” 1 John 16:33

A couple of authors who have had an impact on my spiritual life:
Francis Chan, Elizabeth George, Anne Graham Lotz

Some people who have inspired my spiritual life over the years:
Joni Eareckson Tada, Twila Paris, my youth pastor and various bible teachers

Something valuable that someone told me early on about walking with the Lord:
It’s about the journey, taking up my cross and following Him every day – it’s not about “works” or a list of “to-do’s”.

Something I wish someone had told me sooner about walking with the Lord:
The reminder that the more I seek Him for direction than charting my “own course” for my life - boy how that roadmap would probably look different in some areas.

I was drawn to serve in the “Let’s Have Coffee Ministry” because:
No matter what struggles I face in this life, the Lord has given me an abundance of hope and I want to be able to share that with others. I really enjoy getting to know other women at TVC, and I know I will be encouraged by these “coffee connections” as well. It’s all about encouraging each other on this journey!
