Fall Fest - CANCELED

With the variable weather conditions and high probability of thunderstorms expected tomorrow, we have determined for reasons of safety and also the logistics involved in event set-up, that it is best for us to cancel Fall Fest. Unfortunately, our facilities don’t make it feasible to move the event inside, and with our fall programming already committed through the end of the year, re-scheduling for another date would be very difficult.

Make plans now to join us on Saturday, September 22 for Fall Fest. We’ll gather from noon to 3 pm at TVC Main in the upper parking lot and the Living Room for this churchwide afternoon of fun, food and music for all ages. There will be free burgers and hot dogs, pie bake-off, cornhole tournament, photo booth and separate games and activities specifically for TVC Kids and TVC Youth. Bring a lawn chair and a friend!

NOTE: Make sure to deliver your pies for the bake-off by 1:30 pm. In case of bad weather, check thevillagechapel.com for updates.

With Hope In Mind

TVC’s own Bill and Mary Jean Murphy facilitate this family member and caregiver support group in association with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). The faith-based group meets the fourth Sunday of each month, so join us for our next meeting on September 23 at 3 pm in the Chapel at TVC East.

Women’s Sunday School: Esther

Ladies, join us for this new Sunday school class beginning September 23. We’ll meet at 8:30 am in the Bonus Room at TVC Main for this verse-by-verse study of the book of Esther led by Christy Richardson. We’ll focus on the lessons we can pull from this ancient text that apply to our lives today.

All K-5 kids are invited to join us for our second of three monthly fall TVC Kids Worship Arts special events on Wednesday night, October 3, from 6:30-8 pm. We’ll meet in the Living Room at TVC Main for a special night of raising our voices with Mrs. Jamie & her talented team! Parents are invited to stay and enjoy community with other TVC moms and dads in Mrs. Jamie’s classroom.

Dessert & Discussion: Entrepreneurship

Join us for a special Dessert & Discussion on October 3 at 6:30 pm in the Chapel at TVC Main. We’ll be talking about the highs and lows of entrepreneurship with a panel that includes TVCers Patrick and Jamie Leddin as well as Leigh Orendorf, followed by a Q&A time. And did we mention there’s dessert? RSVP for childcare HERE.
