We don’t want you to miss out on all we have planned to celebrate the birth of Christ during Advent. Check the listings below for details on everything from Christmas service times and locations to choir and kids’ performances as well as other special holiday activities.

Operation Christmas Child - Drop off by November 19, both campuses
Bring your filled shoeboxes to either campus by November 19, and make sure to include the $9 postage fee, which you can pay online at operationchristmaschild.com and track your box on its journey. If you miss the drop-off deadline, you can also visit the Operation Christmas Child website listed above to find a regional collection center in the Nashville area.

Nativity Collection - November 19 & 26, both campuses
One of our favorite holiday traditions is displaying your nativity scenes at our church during the weeks of Advent. If you’re willing to share your family’s precious nativity scene with us for the holidays, label both it and all packing material with your name and contact info before dropping it off at the hallway table at either campus on November 19 or 26. Then we’ll return them in early January. Thank you for considering this meaningful way to share Christmas with your TVC friends and family this season.

Christmas Market & Gathering - December 8, 5-9 pm, the Chapel, TVC Main
Come on out to the Chapel at TVC Main on Friday, December 8, from 5-9 pm. You can shop artisan gifts handmade by fellow TVCers while enjoying live Christmas music, Christmas cookies, a fun craft for K-5 kids and some great community. We’ll also be filling a Christmas stocking for those in need, so bring a few pairs of new socks to donate. Spread the word and invite your friends and neighbors!

Addison’s Walk: Special Advent Edition – December 10, 11:30 am, the Family Room, TVC Main
Our next event in TVC’s Addison’s Walk series will take place on Sunday, December 10, at 11:30 am in the Family Room at TVC Main. As we get closer to celebrating Christmas and the coming of Jesus Christ into this world, it becomes more and more relevant to ask questions like “What’s so special about Jesus?” “Why is Jesus the most talked about, most scrutinized person who ever lived?” and “How is Jesus different from every other world religious figure who ever lived?” We’ll gather together to view a video lecture by Ravi Zacharias Ministries titled Jesus Among Other Gods, followed by a moderated discussion. Even though this takes place during Sunday services, please RSVP for childcare here so we can make sure we’re adequately staffed.

TVC Christmas Choir - December 10, all morning services, TVC Main
The TVC Choir will be live at TVC Main for all three morning services on December 10. If you want to lend your voice, act quickly! Rehearsals take place November 15, 29 and December 6 from 7-8:15 pm in the Family Room at TVC Main. Childcare is available if needed. You can email Director of Worship Tommy Bailey at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to join the choir and inquire about childcare.

TVC Kids Christmas Performance - December 17, all services, TVC Main
It’s one of the highlights of the holidays! Our TVC Kids will grace us with a special performance on Sunday morning, December 17, during all worship services at TVC Main. Parents will want to make a note on their calendars that all TVC Kids will rehearse on Saturday, December 16, from 10 am to noon in the Chapel at TVC Main.

Christmas Eve Services - December 24, 10 am, 4, 5:30 & 7 pm, TVC Main
This year, Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday, so join us as we celebrate the birth of Christ at a regular morning worship service at 10 am at TVC Main. Then plan to return for one of three identical Christmas Eve candlelight services at 4, 5:30 or 7 pm in the Chapel at TVC Main. Seats go quickly, so plan to arrive early, and make sure to reserve childcare for Nursery and Preschool HERE, so we can be sure we’re properly staffed. (NOTE: We will NOT have any programming on December 25, Christmas Day.)

New Year’s Eve Services - 8:30 am at TVC East, 10 & 11:30 am at TVC Main
On Sunday, December 31, we’ll have a special worship service schedule for New Year’s Eve. Join us at 8:30 am as usual at TVC East or choose between a 10 or 11:30 am service at TVC Main. There will be no 8:30 am service at TVC Main.
